Nestled in the heart of Northeast Houston, Nixon Assisted Living offers more than a place to live—it’s a place to thrive. Founded in 2004 by Debora Nixon, RN, this licensed ten-bed, Type B facility was born from her deep compassion as a home health nurse. Debora saw the need for a nurturing, homelike environment for individuals who could no longer live safely at home but didn’t require the full scope of skilled nursing care. Her vision was simple yet profound: to create a “Home Away from Home” where residents are treated like family.

In 2018, we expanded our mission with the opening of Nixon Assisted Living, “Too,” a nine-bed facility that continues our legacy of personalized, heartfelt care.
