Nixon Assisted Living of Houston is a for-profit licensed ten-bed, type B facility located in Northeast Houston, founded in 2004 by Debora Nixon, RN. As a Registered Nurse providing home health care within the community, Debora identified a need for a bridge for individuals who could no longer safely reside in the home but not at the point of placement in a skilled nursing care facility. Ms. Nixon desired to bring a caring touch to this vulnerable population. This identified
need was the springboard for Nixon’s Assisted Living’s beginning, a “Home Away from Home,” where residents are treated like family. In 2018 Nixon Assisted Living, “Too,” a nine-bed type facility, was added to Nixon’s long-term care platform.

Both facilities located in northeast Houston provide:

Skilled personal care to assist clients with performing daily living
activities which includes dressing, eating, grooming, bathing, toileting,
and medications – self administration.

Physical rehabilitative services such as motion and movement
exercises.

Monthly Bible Study

Onsite Physician Visits

Free Adult Day – designed to promote client socialization as well
mental and emotional stimulation

Field Trips which include but not limited to field trips, bowling, movies
and more
